Relaxing
Tue Aug 19 2025 ~TennisChick~A nice and simple “start & play” format with relaxing optics - similar to other Shallot “Coffee Games”. I play Coffee Golf and was not sure if this would be the same play, different visual field. I was pleasantly surprised! I never really played pool and found this game has me focusing and learning about angling for direct and banking shots. The provided guidelines are a wonderful teacher! Loving the simplicity of these games - perfect for quick “brain breaks” in my day!
Fun game marred by IAP failure
Tue Sep 02 2025 NushmutAs a daily player of Coffee Golf, this was a fun addition to my small collection of daily games. It’s simple on the surface but has a nice variety of challenges.
I quickly purchased the IAP to remove ads when it became available, in large part because I want to support the developers, but also because I disliked the ads. Unfortunately, the ads are still happening.
I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the game, restarting my iPhone, and I’ve tapped the ‘Restore Purchases’ button dozens of times to no avail. I do have a receipt from Apple/App Store confirming the IAP and the option to purchase this IAP is gone from the app. But the ads are still happening.
I emailed Shallot support about this on August 24 and have yet to hear back as of September 2. I really want to support this developer, but it’s harder to do so when the purpose of the IAP isn’t fulfilled and their support email address, as found when tapping the App Support button/link on this App Store listing, isn’t leading to a response. I figured “Coffee Pool - Remove Ads issue” was a succinct but clear enough subject line. If I had known this would be such an issue, I probably would’ve just avoided the purchase altogether.
Super disappointed at the moment.
Solid and fun game but could use some more features
Sun Aug 31 2025 TravisD2784Everything in the game is very unique for a pool game and I’ve been enjoying it quite a lot. Only reason I’m giving it four stars is because there’s not a lot of different options in terms of abilities and purchasing them. So far the only way to buy the abilities is the starter pack which costs money. It would be great to be able to purchase the upgrades with coins. And also buy different abilities where maybe you can only choose three to bring in.
Great game. Ads are annoying.
Mon Nov 10 2025 ghanny80Great game. Definitely near the top in billiards games. The ads however, are infuriating. They’re difficult to close out, and it’s almost easier to just close out the game and reopen it at times. $8 to remove ads is a little insane, but I feel like they make the ads so obnoxious that some people are willing to pay it to avoid that. 5 stars for the game, but 3 because of the frequency and obnoxiousness of the ads.
Not Fun Anymore
Tue Jan 06 2026 Bailey19802This game was great, and it keeps getting worse and worse. I expect to see levels get more difficult, but with only so much variety, it eventually becomes that every round you can’t miss ever. In addition there is a new shot clock ( this was NOT there before and still isn’t on my iPhone but IS on my iPad) and the idea that this is a fun, leisure game you do while drinking your coffee has gone away. I would not have purchased this app had I known this would be the case a month later. It’s a true shame because this game was good.
Starts Fun, Ends Frustrating
Fri Dec 19 2025 S K I D SThe game starts out easy enough, and like any game progressively gets more difficult. The issue I have with it is the shot timer. 5 seconds to quickly line up shots makes you hurry up and miss half the time, leaving little to no time to strategize about your next shot. If the timer runs out, you lose one of your shots as a penalty. It's a TERRIBLE mechanic to an otherwise enjoyable game.
Good but limited play
Thu Aug 28 2025 MrGoodbyeI want to give this 5 stars, but I can’t as if you can get past a level, you basically can’t play for the rest of the day. The Golden Shot level always stops me and I usually reach it within 5 boards.
For people who pay the $8 for ad free, I wish the developers would add in a random mode that gives no rewards just so that paying customers can always play offline.
Timed shots? Big no.
Tue Dec 09 2025 piscespizzagrlI loved the game until it started getting to the timed shots (you have a few seconds to get your ball lined up and shoot). I feel like the timer is way too fast and takes the “relaxing” aspect out of the game. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to delete because the timer makes me so stressed out and it’s literally on every single round after you get it. But it was fun while it lasted.
