Grindstone is quite possibly the best puzzle game on Apple Arcade. It takes the familiar 'match-3' or 'line-drawing' mechanic and turns it into a bloody, strategic, and deeply rewarding combat system. The 'risk vs reward' tension is perfect—every turn you have to decide if you should escape with your loot or try for one more massive combo that might get you killed.

The animation by Capy Games is top-tier; Jorj’s facial expressions and the squelch of the Creeps provide an immensely satisfying feedback loop. It's rare to find a puzzle game with this much personality and depth. Whether you're playing for five minutes or two hours, the progression feels meaningful. It’s a absolute masterclass in game feel and mechanical polish.

Dinsun Review

I remember the Dreamcast original—shaking physical maracas was the whole point. This mobile version tries hard to replicate that energy, and the tracklist is surprisingly good, but tapping a screen just isn't as satisfying. It's loud, it's garish, and it's fun for about 20 minutes at a time. It’s a decent party game in your pocket, if you don't mind looking a bit silly.
