I've seen plenty of 'tycoon' games that are nothing more than clickers in disguise. Coffee Inc 2 is a different beast entirely. It respects the player's intelligence by providing actual levers to pull—pricing strategies, real estate speculation, and even a simulated stock market. It’s dry, sure, but for an old-school gamer like me, that's a badge of honor. It reminds me of the classic era of simulation games where the challenge came from the systems, not the microtransactions.

The UI is functional but uninspired, and the learning curve is steep enough to turn off casual players. But if you stick with it, there's a genuine sense of accomplishment in taking a local shop to a multi-billion dollar IPO. It could use a bit more personality in the rival interactions, and the endgame can feel a bit like data entry, but as far as mobile business sims go, this is one of the more competent ones on the market.
