Dinsun Review
Block Blast is essentially what happens when developers want to monetize the spatial concepts of Tetris without paying any licensing fees, stripping away the gravity and real-time urgency in the process. You slowly drag blocks of varying shapes onto an 8x8 grid to clear horizontal and vertical lines. It is functionally identical to 1010! and countless other clones that have infested the mobile market for years. The game relies entirely on a random algorithm that eventually, inevitably gives you a sequence of pieces that cannot possibly fit, forcing a frustrating 'game over' state that feels entirely out of your control. There is no deep strategy beyond basic space management, and the constant barrage of flashing 'combo' effects feels cheap and unearned. As someone who appreciates the elegant design and escalating tension of classic arcade puzzlers, I find this completely uninspired, blatantly derivative, and utterly devoid of genuine fun.
