Art of Fauna provides exactly what it promises on the tin: you drag and drop puzzle pieces to form beautiful illustrations of animals. I will concede that the artwork itself is genuinely commendable, featuring soft, hand-drawn aesthetics that are very easy on the eyes, accompanied by a suitably relaxing acoustic soundtrack. However, as a 'game,' it is entirely devoid of any substantial challenge. The mechanics are restricted to basic snapping of pieces on a 2D grid. It functions far more as an interactive art gallery than a robust puzzle game. If you simply want a digital jigsaw puzzle to mindlessly click through while listening to a podcast, it suffices, but it demands absolutely nothing of the player's intellect or reflexes.
